The ‘Sinderhoeve’ is an experimental field station that encompasses experimental ditches, experimental ponds, laboratories (the ‘Sinderhuis’), and 7 acres of arable land. All facilities are available for conducting aquatic and terrestrial research on the behaviour and effects of chemical substances in the environment as well as for more basic ecological research questions.
The ‘Sinderhoeve’ is part of Alterra, Wageningen University and Research centre, and is in compliance with the OECD principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
Since 2004 the ‘Sinderhoeve’, along with the ERA laboratory in Wageningen, is GLP compliant. This means that all experimental test systems can be operated under the GLP regime resulting in a well equipped and flexible test facility.
